O Conselho Geral da Ordem dos Advogados promoveu, no dia 8 de março, no salão nobre da OA, as comemorações do Dia Internacional da Mulher.
No âmbito destas comemorações, teve lugar a conferência “Igualdade de género: o que hoje se impõe diferenciar”, numa organização conjunta do Conselho Geral e da Comissão dos Direitos Humanos da OA (CDHOA), bem como a entrega do prémio Elina Guimarães.
A conferência foi dedicada a dois subtemas, nomeadamente a “Violência obstétrica” que contou com a intervenção de Mia Negrão, advogada, e a “Violência contra as mulheres no espaço digital”, onde foram oradoras Inês Rodrigues, técnica de Apoio à Vítima da APAV e Paula Cosme Pinto, ativista pela igualdade de género. Já a sessão de abertura esteve a cargo da Presidente da CDHOA, Cristina Borges de Pinho e do Presidente do Conselho Regional de Lisboa, João Massano.
Em 2023, o Conselho Geral deliberou atribuir o prémio “Elina Guimarães” à Dra. Maria do Céu da Cunha Rêgo e à Associação “Corações com Coroa”, representada na cerimónia por Catarina Furtado.
